Welcome to the Chilemonos Festival in Vancouver: The Southern Latin American Festival!

“Our Milestones” is a journey through the history of Latin American animation, passing through important historical events of animated cinema in the region. 

The showcase will feature a selection of eleven short films, representing the best of six countries in the region. Among the highlights are the award-winning short film “Luminaris” (2011), by Argentinean director Juan Pablo Zaramella; and the Oscar winner for Best Animated Short Film in 2016, “Historia de un oso” (2014) by Chilean director Gabriel Osorio.
