Kristian Kim Larsen is an animator from Norway with over 10 years of experience in the industry, contributing to stop-motion films, CG productions, and video games. He studied animation at Volda University College in Norway and The Animation Workshop in Viborg, Denmark.
Kristian has specialized in making the puppets feel like real characters brought to life. In his own process, he mimics the movements to make the animation look authentic and endowed with genuine emotions and expressions.
He began his career working on Louis & Luca and the Snow Machine (2013), the first stop-motion feature produced in Norway in over 30 years. His credits also include work on films like Missing Link, winner of the Toronto Film Critics Association Awards for Best Animated Feature in 2019 and the Golden Globes for Best Animated Feature Film in 2020; and the Academy-winner Pinocchio (2022), directed by Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson. He is currently animating on Laika’s upcoming feature Wildwood.
